Can two booster seats with actual children in them realistically fit in a new Mustang? Cause gosh darnit, now I want one.

My 2 (barely) fit in the back of a Beetle convertible with me driving. (I’m 6’3”, my youngest who was in a booster behind me is a bit over 4’)

I had two in the back of a ‘91 Mustang convertible (with the top up AND down) so.... sure?

Yes! My 2009 GT serves as the morning school bus for my boys (now 10 and 7), but they fit back there just fine with convertible seats too.

It should, I have fit two and even two baby seats in my ‘95 Cobra coupe and my old roommate fit two baby seats in the back of his 01 GT coupe. IIRC the back seat on the new S550 Mustangs is bigger and wider than the SN95 cars.

Booster seats should be no problem whatsoever. Backwards facing seats is what normally takes so much space.

If you kids are big enough to get in and out of the seat by themselves that’s even better.

Fun, but unrelated fact: Mustang rear leg room has been within 3 inches for every model besides the Mustang II.

28.1 inches is the smallest amount, in the 1971 through 1973 Mustangs. [Mustang II of 1974 through 1978 had 24.3 inches O_o]

31.2 inches is the largest amount, in the Fox-body hatchbacks on the 80’s, surpassing the 2015 Mustang, which ranks second at 30.6 inches.

No lie. My Fit became a 1-adult vehicle with the addition of rear facing Britax seats. My wife, who’s about 5’10”, was scrunched up into the dashboard so uncomfortably that she couldn’t ride in the front. Then we had another kid and with both rear facing I literally couldn’t operate the pedals to drive it.

Might technically be doable, but you should really just get a Focus RS jabroni

I'm still not quite convinced - maybe the GT350 will do the job...
